In the market for a side by side. I've had a polaris ranger in the past, but wanted to hear the boards thoughts on brands. Thanks in advance for opinions!

I like Polaris. My FIL had a Kawasaki Mule that was solid.

I just picked up a Ranger 570-4. Haven't used it but in the neighborhood, but I like it so far. Looked at the hondas, but didn't like losing the bed when you need the 3rd/4th seats. Looked at some mules at gn Gonzalez, and liked the bikes but not the dealership.

I bought a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 last year. Like it so far. Shaft drive so no belt. Kind of 50/50 on the full length roof. Sucks filling feeders having to carry a ladder but nothing in the bed ever gets wet. Power range is different from a Ranger being the Polaris has more power with less rpm's. Pioneer is by no means lacking power, it just builds it at a little higher room. Ride isn't as good as a Ranger but seems to turn and maneuver better.

Rangers are the best all all aroUnd SxS IMO. I have a Mule 610XC because it was cheaper and has been proven to last forever. It's built solid and simple.

I have a Kawasaki Teryx 750 NRA, solid bike, lotsa power. But, only 2 seats, engine mounted between seats, so very hot during summer use. Pulls like a train, very capable in mud, decent payload capacity...

My uncle's Kawasaki Mule must be at least 20 years old at this point and running great.

Have an 07 Ranger. It stays screwed up. Belt drive was its undoing
Have a 17 Mule FXT. It's been a great machine. Rides like a battleship, drives like a Cadillac, gets it done in the mud.

Have a 700 Pioneer for about a year and half now. Went back and forth, but decided on the Pioneer because the transmission vs drive belt. I use it for hunting and work days at the hunt club. I also wanted the dump bed, which has been huge as well. Another added bonus is how quiet this thing runs. Been very pleased with this machine. And as stated on several other threads......you can never go wrong with a Honda.
