baking soda or other powder base odor remover. Sprinkle it liberally and leave it in there for a couple day and then vacuum

Either change the carpet or do the best you can and trade that thing in on a cold day, 5 years from now if you leave the windows up on a warm afternoon it is coming roaring back.

Scrub as much as you can with hot water and a little Dawn and spray Odoban afterwards.

I know a guy who left a bag of shrimp in the back seat of a brand new Camaro. It was wheat harvest time so he did not drive the car for a month in late June early July. When he finally opened the door he immediately started gagging. He tried charcoal, chlorine tablets, completely pulled out interior and scrubbed with clorox. He ended up pumping it full of air freshener and trading it for a new truck. Salesman called him a month later and threatened to whip his arse.

Spray the spot with vinegar and let it sit over night come back with boiling hot water and dawn soap and scrub the spot.

Your seriously gonna have to replace the padding under carpet at minimum. Good chance carpet will need to be changed as well. Any other attempts are futile.

I didn't realize that getting shrimp juice could be so toxic to a vehicle. I'm going to be extra careful whenever I transport shrimp or any seafood from now on. I assume crawfish has a similar effect.

I leaked shrimp juice on my Passat seats when it was about 4 months old. I ended up pulling the seat out and finding pooled shrimp juice. I cleaned all the metal and left the seat outside in the sun for about a week and all was good...

Well if you car normally smells like a dozen unwashed hairy hippy snatches than you would not notice, some set the bar a bit higher.

One of my brothers put a pogie under the others truck seat one morning before a fishing trip, after 16 hours in the sun burning the MF to the ground was all I could offer the victim.

+1 for the ozone machine. You can get them for like $75 bucks on Amazon.

FYI- make sure you let it air out after you use the machine. Ozone can make you sick.

This is the only thing that ended up working for me on my refrigerator/freezer after Katrina.

Scent Crusher is great. It's a little ozone machine that plugs into the lighter plug of a vehicle. I use mine regularly.

I got some out one time by steam cleaning the spot for about 2 hours then putting 5 chopped up lemons on the spot with the windows down. I then steam cleaned it again for another hour.
