I counted 7 and it looked like most of them hit it.
She could have just shot it once and got away and waited. Coons are tough, handguns suck, she shot it in the coon instead of in the head...
Moral of the story - shoot coon in head or coon will not die immediately.

Dispatched many coons (45 this season alone) with a .22 pistol, double lung shot is the best way to go
