You have to have a WMA permit to fish or hunt,!not required if you have lifetime license. Wildlife stamp required to walk the area

You need to sign in before going craw fishing back there. Have that copy and a fishing license and that's it.

Went today. My friend and I were the only ones out there.
50#, fished for 5 hours.
The water is just getting warm enough.
May will be stellar.
Green Jeans drove up and asked, 'Yall catching any?'
Showed him what we had. 10# in first hour.
He drove off, unimpressed. He did say we were some of the first to catch anything.
He never checked our permits, licenses or anything else.
Hot but overcast enough to be fun.
No ATV, my friend and I are part pack mule.
No turtles either.

thanks for the report. How many nets y'all have out? I usually bring about 25 of them and get a few sacks in about 3 hours. That's the best I've done out there.

We fished between 20-25 nets.
They aren't really running yet.
Tough fishing as long as the water is as cold as it is.

That sucks, thanks for the in-water update though!

Fish under the water lillies/pods.
Look where wind is pushing everything and fish there.
May have to clear out some pods on the surface of the water.
