I know the Bonne Carre spillway is closed, and saw a bunch of guys on TV filling up pickup truck beds full of shad. Are there places to set crawfish nets in the spillway? I've got a little 4-year old boy, and need to find a good place in the Gonzales area to go set a few nets with him, maybe catch a sack of crawfish.

Anywhere on the side of hwy 404 going towards Pigeon is good but people drive like maniacs down that road (myself included) and there aren't many places to park

10-4 on the cold water in the spillway. I used to see people crawfishing along 3127 between Gramercy and the 4-lane. May try there.
