Bought a Honda mower and pressure washer is may... And then got 3ft of water at my house last week that completely submerged everything for an indeterminate amount of time. (Estimate of around 24 hours)

Any hope to salvage? Drained oil and gas, but the pull start does not move at all; wouldn't think it would rust that quick, but it may have.

Any shop recommendations to have them check them out?

Thanks

Take the spark plug out and then try to turn them over

We had a 27hp kohler engine go underwater when my dad swamped his skiff. We pulled the motor home, drained the oil, pulled the plugs and changed the air filter. Filled it to the top with marvel mystery oil through oil fill and also poured a little in the spark plug holes. Let sit for 15-20 minutes and then bumped the starter a few times to turn the engine over. Once it spun free. We drained oil, filled back with fresh 30w oil, put new plugs in and fired up. Ran it for 10 minutes, drained oil then did it all again. Did two more times then filled up with correct oil. Still running and that was 3 years ago.

Shouldn't have rusted that bad....yet

-Pull the spark plug out and then try to pull it a few times. There may be water trapped in the cylinder still preventing you from pull starting it (water doesn't compress.) If there is water trapped it will come out the spark plug hole, keep pulling until water is gone.
-Put the plug bag and and try to pull start again.
-Carburetor may need cleaning depending on a few things, if it does it may not crack or just run bad.
-If it starts let it run for a couple secs and check oil for milkyness (water mixed in oil)
-Keep changing oil until water cease to exist

They will work fine once you clean them up. Pull plug and crank, then change fluids (including gas), dry everything out, and put it back together
