Ultralight spin cast, chartreuse and black yum jig/red head under a bright orange cork. It is almost unfair to the fish.

Oh you are trying to catch sac a lait.....sorry, this rig only catches WHITE PERCH.

I like the Bobby Garland baby shad bodies.

I'm not going to say a specific color, but the "old faithfuls" usually produce. One works better on clear days and one works better on over cast days.

Not yet. Next month is when they get cranked up for me. I could probably go catch a few now, but it probably would be slow. Need a good week of 70 degree weather where I fish.

I have used some of the other jigs, but I have caught more on the setup I described than any other.

I found a deep hole last summer.. We wore the shite out the lake runners there.. So I decided to stop there and she if for some reason the SAC.. Where there, and sure enough we are killing them.. But they wI'll not touch anything except that tiny fluke.. We tried live minnows all kinds of mini jigs..

Hopefully this warm weather will continue and they get going. May try them towards the end of the week if the forecast holds true.

What lakes do yall fish for Crappie? My dad likes to go and Darbonne is the only place I have had success with them.

Mostly N La?

Toledo, Red River oxbows, and Caddo all can and do have their moments.

I tie these and catch on them all spring and summer in the Red River. They really like the blue, purple, and grey combos, but it's still a little early for where I fish.
Here's to a great year for all! It's about to get right.
