Roof cargo box for Large SUV?

My wife has a Wagoneer that we travel in. Looking for input on roof storage systems. Would need to be a box of some type and not a cargo net.
Also, how do you get the stuff out of them? Is there a small ladder? Do you just have to reach for it? The car is kinda tall.

Thule or Yakima make cross bars and baskets/storage boxes. Their websites have apps, make sure you're sitting down when pricing tho.

After purchasing an XXL Box from Thule, I wish I had gotten two XLs.
You’d have to have 54inch wide or more bars, but the Xxl is a bit cumbersome in my experience
The two xl side by side makes better sense for me. It might be overkill for some though and you’d be happy with the xxl. Just my preference though.
I don t k w the weight differences but it’s almost a two man job for the largest ones……unless keeping up there permanent.

What size is it? I’ll take it.

As others have said, prepare for sticker shock with Thule and Yakima... but they're also the best and most aerodynamic.
I generally get into mine by opening the doors to the car and standing on the floormat. If I need to get higher, one foot on the seat and one foot on the open door armrest.
They're extremely nice to have. A cheaper option for getting stuff out of the cab is a hitch basket with good storage containers and ratchet strap them on. But that's not secure if you're leaving your vehicle anywhere for any amount of time.

Spend the money on a Thule. I ran one for 10 years on a mini van. Then sold it for $300.
I had the wide one that you could open from both sides. Very handy. Surprisingly easy to take on/off.
