Took this picture on Jefferson Hwy yesterday. This sow was running through the neighborhood and got smoked The levee is about half a mile from where she laid so I am guessing the high waters are driving them out. Still strange to see a wild hog running around here:

We hit one crossing the road in the middle of Morganza Saturday. Threw it in the truck and cooked him yesterday.

I have seen plenty of hog tracks across the levee around there. Most of them were between Charlie's pond and the river. Would be a great bow hunting spot.

I grew up in Harahan, and I seem to remember a few people around Harahan/RR having pigs

Hogs are damn nuisances. They'll tear up your yard and are nearly impossible to eradicate once they get established.

Levee District had a call about one around the country club in Harahan. It's the high water driving them out.

Yeh that is what I have figured. I used to walk my dog behind the levee unleashed(she is a catahoula), until one day she took off after a hog. I figured the high water is driving them out. Could be interesting with neighborhood dogs in the near future
