Exactly, but I had house damage and got into searching too late.

It's either 24 hours or 72 hours after the vessel has sunk or beached it's self that the owner has to submit a salvage plan and be active with it. After the allotted time has passed and there is no activity on it then it is considered abandoned. You can get the numbers and contact the USCG and inquire into the salvage rights, WLF can tell you who owns a private vessel if it is abandoned. If they have been there for a certain period of time and there has been no activity they can be considered abandoned and removed as long as you go through the proper channels. The USCG is your best bet with this not the WLF.
