Looking for a place to go kayaking within 1.5 hours from BR. Is Bogue Chitto still one of the better options?

TIA

This is the place I’ve gone with large groups. No experience with going for just myself. Always a good time.

We always go to Wolf River in Long Beach, MS, but that's right at 2 hours away.

Another vote for Sweetwater in Tyler Town. Magee Creek or Bogue Chitto. Magee Creek is a nice float if the water level is okay.

Highland Road Park when they finish clearing bayou fountain. You can get out at Bayou Manchac Park.

I wish they'd thrown in another launch/takeout somewhere up Hwy 42 or at Fred's in Port Vincent.
Someone with the right resources could make good money with a kayak rental business along there.
