I have a benchmade minigriptilian (sp?) that I really like.

This - or a mini Presidio - I really like the axis knives from Benchmade, and chicks dig the butterfly.

To each his own. I actually like the Para-Military 2 better...better blade shape, better handle and I much prefer the PM 2's thumb hole to the 940's stud. On top of that, it's $30 cheaper.

Then again, the Osborne has such a slim profile and is so light. For some, these are the most important characteristics of an EDC. Bottom line...different strokes for different folks.

Team SOG checking in

If I had to recommend an EDC other than Benchmade Presdio or mini Presidio, I would suggest a SOG Pentagon Elite - my favorite knife that I no longer own.

The smaller SOG Pentagon Elite is in my EDC rotation along with a Aegis Tanto and Spyderco UK. Very few knives with match how smooth a Pentagon Elite opens. I just wish they'd offer a different finish with the VG10.

I've handled hundreds of folding knives over the years - the Pentagon Elite is THE smoothest opening and closing knife I've used.

but, not all of us have $500 or more laying around for a damn pocket knife. but rest assured... if i did, it would be this one. with a partial serration / non-tanto.

If you are paying $500 on a pocket knife you are dumb.
