I currently have a keymod rail with a 1" ring attachment for a light. I want to run something similar to a surefire scout light that has a remote pressure switch. Any recommendations for a light that will fit in the 1" ring?

can't go wrong with surefire mini scout with unity tactical monkey bar (assuming you have a MBUS Pro front sight)

if you want something very bright with great controls and a strobe, go TLR-1HL from Streamlight on an offset mount.

To mount the TLR:

If you have a quad rail, use the daniel defense offset mount
if you have a keymod rail, use a thorntail offset mount
if you have a MLOK rail, grab a MLOK fusion adapter with rail section.
if you have a 2pc handguard/rail, upgrade to one of the aforementioned styles

I run a cheapo Amazon special on one AR. Its for hogs so I dont care how reliable it is. I run a TLR on my AR9 that stays by my bedside.

What Carson said. Either that or an Elzetta.

streamlight TLR series. i can't recall the exact model in the series, but the one I have is a very solid build. -hyper- bright. when i bought it i remembered thinking that for the durability difference between it and the surefire model i was considering that the price made a lot of sense with the SL.
