Im going to be hunting a lot out of climbers for the first time this year. The only harness ive used is the cheap one that came with my stand. Looking to get a functional/user friendly harness but i dont need a $120 harness. Any one have this one: Gorilla Gear

I use a low profile Hunter's Safety System. It's always out the way and I can put it either over or under my outer layers

I have one of the older HSS pro series. Love it as it has many pockets to out stuff in. I usually forget I have it on to be honest and wouldn't hunt without it

go to your local hunting store and try them on. Some are more comfortable than others

I wear a Spider Harness

After a little research I bought 2 ABC guide harness (rock climbing harness) off of Amazon at $32 each for me and my son. It is the most comfortable harness I have ever worn.

Go to YouTube and watch some videos, I forget I'm wearing it honestly.

Edit to say there is lots of info about using rock climbing harness on Archery Talk and to try and add the Amazon link. LINK

I wear a Muddy Safeguard. 1.9 pounds, and comfortable.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm hoping to have one by the weekend when I go check a few climbers and lock ons.
It looks like to me:
- Ultra lite versions have their obvious positives since they are so slim
- ultra lite with pockets seems like a good idea but pointless when worn under a jacket
- Vest seem like they would be a little uncomfortable when worn over a jacket but great on a warmer day when you don't need a big jacket

They actually have a cheaper Gorilla Gear harness at Walmart. It's $49.99. Also, don't forget to get the HSS safety strap rope with the prussic knot.
