Anyone here have one and could give me the pros and cons? Have a chance of buying an '18 model with 28hrs on it for a pretty good deal

I have a 2011. Changed the batteries once and had the motor changed under warranty(3500.00). If you're in the hills, It'll suck the batteries down fairly fast. Flat ground, you can use all day. I rarely use 2wd or 4wd, pretty much stays in 1wd. Dont put big aggressive tires on it as this puts more strain on the motor.

It will be used strictly for hunting. Hunt in LA around farm land and Fayette. Only really have two creek crossings.

He did put some 26" itps on it. Too big?

Honestly, the pros and cons are exactly what you’d expect. It’s polaris, so it’s a solid product. Extremely quiet going in and out of the woods.

Cons: batteries will need to be replaced every few years. They’re not cheap. In addition to the hills as stated above, having to use 4wd for any extended period of time will wear the batteries down really quick. Having said that, the 4wd is pretty damn good for an electric vehicle.

Basically, if you’re looking for an electric atv, the Polaris EV is a great choice.

Water, check the water!

Water, check the water!

I have had mine for 3 years and love it. I have also been a nazi about making sure the batteries are full of distilled water. My batteries are still good 3 years later. The dealer I purchased it from said if you keep it full of water and free of corrosion the batteries will not be a problem. If you don't monitor the water batteries will be shot after 2 seasons.

I hunt in the hills of SW Mississippi and have never had a problem. As stated above hills, 4wd, big tires, and dense mud will effect battery strength.

As much as possible run in Mid Range 1wd. Only use 2-4wd low or high range when necessary.

I am super pleased with mine. Short story, I was easing around interior roads and came around a curve to see a turkey strutting in the road. I calmly stop, reverse, and get off to creep back up to curve. I peaked around to see turkey still there so I sit down and cluck a few times. 2 minutes later I was standing on his neck. You simply can't do that on a internal combustion engine. (At least you can't on our turkeys)

After that day as well as a few other experiences I will always be an owner of a EV.

Bad Boy and all the other competition isn't even close in my book.

Thanks for the info guys.

Regarding watering...he has the manual check system. He was telling me checked it before every ride and of it sat more than a month he check the water. No corrosion on the cables at all when I looked yesterday. With that being said, I'm sure they make some mud gaurds, fender guards I could install to help with keeping water off the electronics.

He has the stock tires to go with it as well. I would likely get ride of the ITP, but get something a little more aggressive than the stocks. Ill need something more than those

Forgot to mention, the bike is a 2018 with only 28hrs on it. Pretty much been a garage queen.

Only way to go! We have 3 we use on our property. If you’re going electric the EVs are a must.

Sounds like a good opportunity but if it has been in a garage and left on charge without checking the water the batteries may be damaged. When I leave my camp I double check that the machine is not on charge. Even if it means I arrive to camp to an uncharged machine.

Good practice! If I believed him on this I would buy with confidence.
