Question for the OB: What gun should I buy with a budget around 6-700?

I think I've narrowed it down to either an AR-15 or a pistol, but I'm not 100% certain what i want. I already have a bolt action rifle and a shotgun.
For that price range, what should I look at?

You can buy a nice pistol in that range. Not sure about the prices of AR's, but you'll spend way more money after the fact to modify it the way you want. Go test shoot some pistols and go with that. Just my two cents.

You have a rifle and a shotgun so you dont need another rifle. I would go with a pistol if you are just filling a collection. Just my 2 cents.

It's all about what you want next personally. IMO I would hold out on the AR till you have more money. With your price range you will still get good brands, but their base models. With the money you are looking to spend, I would suggest going with a pistol, and you will be able to get a damn good quality pistol with what you have to spend. The only thing next would be to figure out what kind of pistol interests you more

You will not be able to get a good quality AR in that price range. However, you can get a really good pistol in that price range. So the right answer is a pistol.
