Question about getting a cabin in Arkansas on river

Next year in late March/early April I'll be looking to take family, youngest about 4 to Arkansas and stay in a cabin. Wanting to be walking distance to a river, preferably one that is clear and you can swim and fish in since wife will absolutely not get in water that she can't see the monsters below her.
Of course, first question is are there any recommendations for a cabin on any of the rivers up there and also, is that time of year, the water gonna be way too cold to get in? Are there any nice, clear rivers maybe in the lower part of the state that won't be extremely cold in early spring? TIA

We like Arrowhead at Caddo Gap. Get the "River Cabin" but reserve ahead. About 20 steps to the river with swim area also handy. We go for canoe/kayak floats but in summer. Water will be cold that early.
