It appears that this approx. 8# submarine drone equipped with a 4K video camera can dive to about 100 feet. It can be equipped with an optional "sonar fish finder". It can even "release bait precisely where you want it". ?? It can stay down for about 4 hours with its rechargeable battery. Salt water or fresh water. Info for product was released in about early January of this year. Not sure if it is available for purchase yet (or not). Of course it can be used for many things other than "fishing". All this from what I have read.

I searched for thread or post on this subject and could not find. Sorry if I may have missed it. Just FYI, I am linking to a Google search for PowerVision PowerRay. That way, you can choose which link you would like to explore.

I am not a salesman and cannot answer any questions (technical or otherwise). I just wanted to share this info with the board.

What is our bass fishing world coming to? Sacalait, bream, specs, reds, catfish - you name it. Same question. I love how new technology can continue to upend the current rules.

I'm sure that now bass tourney rules will need to address this. If you are not fishing a tournament, however, sounds like it could be fun.

It's amazing how fast it is evolving as well. I remember when GPS was evolving, then side imaging. Those 2 changed how we fish. It's funny because younger guys will idle around for hours glued to the screen, never fishing. I can't do that, even though it would probably benefit more if I did. I didn't learn to fish with that technology so I need to be casting.

Pretty sweet, but pretty useless in Louisiana, minus super clear freshwater lakes. I still want one though... I drone scouted redfish last weekend.zoom in on the below pic from Saturday. I spy 2 reds near the bank.
