Honestly, for a truck gun you might want to look at a surplus CZ 82 in 9mm Makorov or something similar. They are rock, solid dependable and you can find them for about $225.

I don't know much about the Storm, but Beretta usually makes good stuff.

If that's the price range and style you are looking for... another option you might consider is the CZ P07.

The .40 is growing on me quickly. Same size as the 9mm just 14 rds instead of 17.

yeah. I like the .40 because it has so much punch. 14 rounds is a good bit. If you can't get the job done with 14, an extra 3 rounds won't be much help

wondering if i bought this, which do i use as my truck gun, this or my glock .45. Key being, obviously the one i don't use will be the at home pistol where the wife may need to use it theoretically speaking.

thats tough. I think i would want the wife to have as many rounds to shoot as possible. But the 45 might be hard for her to handle. IDK, i mean she could be better with a pistol than me

With modern ammo, I'd be interested to see any data you have that suggests it has appreciably more punch than a 9mm. Everything I've seen suggests there is a slight trade off between FPS and muzzle energy, but that the rounds are a complete wash in practical tests.

i took her to the range with the .45... she screamed when she shot... hoping adrenalin gets her through it,...

just a general statement that the .40 is a harder hitting bullet than the 9mm being a fast flying bullet

I think the flying shell scared her more than the bang itself.
