Anyone get their pool replastered recently. If so who did you use and what did it cost? Checking online it seems it should cost at most $6 a sqft. I have gotten 2 quotes and one was for $18 a sqft and the other was $48 a sqft. I hate being overcharged because of the neighborhood I live in.

It cost more in 90210 than Bunkie to get a pool replastered. Help us out with a location...

I'm getting my pool replastered. I roughly totalled my square footage and its going to cost me $4/sf, but I don't need any plaster removed since the last time it was done was 8 years ago. It's all in what the labor cost will be for the pool company

I bought a house last year with a 15x30 gunnite pool built in 2008. I can see a couple of hairline cracks in 2 walls that are 8-10 inches long. Is it best to replaster before they get too bad?
I assumed to replaster meant to chip away all the old plaster. So you can just add a layer to smooth everything out?

My pool was built back in 2001 and there are no cracks. The only issue I have is the surface is starting to get rough and the color is starting to turn grey. I could probably go another 3 to 5 years before really needing it done. And I have never heard of anyone just adding another layer on top of old plaster. That sounds like it wouldn't last very long.
