That's a pretty wide range, I personally wouldn't give someone a price like that. I would think that he could look at it, figure his fill needed, time to bust up what's needed, backfill and compact and be done. the amount of fill needed and access to the area should really be your only two variables that will add to cost. We have filled them where we couldnt even get a skid steer into the back yard and had to move dirt with small machines like a dingo which added to the cost.
