Just bought a house with a pool and I'm guessing the previous owner took the old cleaner with them. There is a booster pump that works, ready to go. It is about a 25k gallon(best guess so far) liner w/steps and a steep bank from shallow to deep end.

The Polaris 280 is on sale right now and thinking about pulling the trigger. I've read a few reviews about it get tangled but I don't ever remember my parents or friends getting tangled up that often. Any advice on what to get or stay away from, any operating tips? TIA

1. Drain pool
B. Rip out liner
Three. Fill hole with concrete
IV. Enjoy your giant, maintenance free patio

I used the 280 for close to 10 yrs. It's probably the best one because it is belt driven and doesn't have a chain. Have the Sport (3500?) now and wish I would have gone back to the 280.

Don't understand the people who bitch about pools. I use the hell out of mine and spend little time on maintenance. It ain't rocket surgery, know what I mean?

Do you have it connected to a wall jet from the main filter or is it connected to a separate booster pump?
