Academy on seigen has blue and green wing teal for 22 bucks a half dozen. They the carvers edge series but look good. Will be plenty fine if you picking them up every weekend.

Why do you need a spoonbill decoy? You can just yell at those things and they'll fly in shooting range.

The ole lady was just leaving the gym which is in the same parking lot. She ran in and grabbed a box of green wing and blue wing.

So as of now ill have a dozen flambeau mallards, half dozen carvers edge blue wings, and a half dozen flambeau green wings, and half dozen carvers edge green wings. Totalled out at $112 for two and a half dozen.

Couple more dozen and ill be done for this year. Thoughts?

I didnt realize carvers edge was made my game winner. Hopefully they arent as shiity as the older game winner brand. I was told if you hit the old ones with a BB itll make a quarter sized hole bc they are so brittle.

The regular game winner break just looking at them and the paint flakes in a stiff dew. The carver's edge are a totally different ballgame. I hunted with both the gray duck and wigeon carver's edge this season probably bordering on a dozen times and didn't notice any wear after the season.

Good to know. They will get used until they can no longer be used. Being they were about half the price of some of the other bottom of the line brands, it wont take much to get my moneys worth.

I will say to stay away from "Hard Core" decoys. They sell some bargain priced decoys too and don't hold a candle to the carver's edge or the flambeau. The construction is fine but the paint just flat out sucks. Now if you can snag them for $30/dz like academy was selling them for earlier, they're worth that for a season, but at $50-60/dz, I wouldn't touch them.

Good to know, bc i had considered the hardcore brand over carvers edge. But since you guys claim carvers edge arent bad, and that they may possibly be better than flambeau, i may go pass by academy here and see if they got anymore for cheap.

You'll pay for them but avian x has been very good to me. Others like Dakotas get high marks but I don't know how well they hold up.

My spread is a combination of both of these. They are expensive, but I beat the hell out of both of them and each one holds up perfectly fine. My Dakotas are going into year 4 and I still have the same flocked heads and all 3 dozen with no issues. Really like the look of the feeder Avians as well. Great combo with the Dakotas. I don't like the newer mallard hens Dakota made, but that's only a small gripe.

I've got a mix of newer and older decoys: g&h, ghg, flambeau, academy. When they get old just hit em with a little spray paint. Numbers are important in rice field

Exact situation I have. Towards the end of the year I'd put out my dakota drakes with avian hens. Great combo
