Hey guys just looking for a pirogue with a flat back that I can put a trolling motor on. I have a long paddle to my spot right now and just as long a walk. So I’m trying to get a consensus on what the OB thinks is the best pirogue to buy, and I don’t mind paying for quality.

Look up this dude on Facebook Parrish pirogue and cypress in Bunkie. Makes homemade wooden ones that you could customize… look at his photos

I may have one that fits your bill and is perfect for a trolling motor.

Lmk if interested.

That looks sweet.

OP, in addition to the Chapman, mica now is another option though heavier and more expensive.

Check out Bayou Fiberglass in Pearl River; he makes a flat back unit.

Have you used one of these? Been kicking around different ideas for the best options of duck hunting from a floater and trying to do that from an aluminum boat is a pain.
