So I'm really mad at the Greater North American White Fronted Goose.

I acquired a new 10 gauge and want to get the best choke possible.

I have a patternmaster and a kicks for my SBEII and I honestly can't tell the difference. Probably because I can't shoot for shite.

Do any of y'all have experience with either of these or a different choke with a 10 gauge?

Gas operated that weighs 12 pounds. I'll be ok.

If it like mine more back pain from toting that heavy sum'gun around than shooting.

OP: I recommend you go buy a fistful of choke tubes and test them with several different brands of ammo then report back with the results. TIA

Yep, my 10 kicks like a 20 gauge.

Can't help you, KR. I have stock browning chokes and still (after 12 years) don't shoot very well with it. It patterns fine, I guess it's just me.

My grandpa has a 1100 with Patternmaster ported extended range. Reach out and touch something at 60 yards.

What kind of shells you think you'll shoot?

I'd get the patternmaster if you shoot regular stuff and the kicks if you use either black cloud or blind side.

I'm leaning towards the patternmaster for sure. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with the kicks out a 10.

Not sure why everyone thinks 10s kick hard. Ithaca I shoot sometimes is very manageable and brings da hammer!

I use the invector full choke with my bps-10 and it shoots/patterns very well. I would not spend my money on an aftermarket choke tube.

You want to talk about 10's that kick. Try a double barrel crack barrel 10. Buckshot shows no mercy on either end.

I haven't ventured onto the high dollar tungsten, bismuth, etc. I just shoot steel.

I've shot Remington, Winchester , and estate and I haven't noticed any real difference. They all work fine.

I have shot from f shot to bb for geese with several different chokes. Definitely dropped more with the Bbb / extended choke combo.
