Give me the run down on this place. Some buddies asked me to go with them.

I lived in Yazoo County for 29 years...
Lots of big deer in Panther. Never hunted the actual refuge, but we used to lease a place that's now apart of the swamp. Then we used to farm some land that borders it... It was nothing to see 25-30 racked bucks in an afternoon that came from the swamp to our wheat fields.
You can see amazing things just driving down the road and looking in the fields that border the place, especially when the water is up.
My brother and I saw a legitimate 200" deer one night on the side of the highway. Main frame 12, only 15 inches wide or so, but the mass was incredible with a 12 inch split drop tine on one side and a 10 inch drop on the other. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen. He was feeding on the old road bed on the northern part of the property where HWY 149 crosses the Whittington Channel. We just sat there and he let us watch him for about 30 seconds in the headlights.
My grandfather has a 170 on the wall that was killed in the 60's when the place was still owned by a land company.

Oh man I'm like a fat kid in a donut shop. The stories they tell me just seems unreal. They said they will take me riding on the levee the first night so they can watch me drool.

Yeah. I didn't mean to hype it up so much, but it's really incredible at the right time in the right spots.
Pack a lunch, find a fallen over tree, climb up in it, and sit all day.
