Great investment when you sell but you can make more on a CD than dirt. Why are institutional investors buying (teachers, municipal emplyees, etc) when they have to provide a return?
Hell, the Al teachers investment fund is way invested in the Robert Trent gold courses in Alabama and golf courses are almost always money losers.

He sent me a pin on Delta Aqualands East of 7, but I told him my boss wasn’t interested. I was told later by the manager at a New Years Eve party that they weren’t for sale. I am pretty sure he was the manager

If it’s an active operation that must be the Lloyds farm. Theyre getting out of fish this year but I was pretty sure they were gonna sell the place. It has 3 oil wells on the property

The big farm in the center? The small one up top to the right of that big block of old ponds sold a year ago and the guy leasing the ponds had to rush and buy a farm near yazoo and move all his fish and equipment fast because the new owner wouldn’t honor the lease. The block of old ponds was the old southfresh farm, it’s in WRP now and a duck club

He never called me back about it after I told him We weren’t interested, so I’m not really sure. Could have been the Lloyd’s part and the Realtor was thinking he could get all of those ponds. Benny would probably buy them if they did come up for sale.

Hell, I was at HA’s auction last night and had someone ask me if we were selling.

Early 1980’s. US Farmland prices crashed and most areas didn’t return to similar values until early 2000’s.

Yea that farm is the Lloyds. Not sure how it’s parceled. He was partnered with the Potters and Freshwater Catfish Plant. Mr Potter died few years ago and left Lloyd in charge as part owner with his daughters and they recently sold the plant and shut down the other farms so I think Lloyd will get out as soon as he sells all their fish

They’re good people I used to work for them years ago
