I want a streamlight TLR-1 because it looks cooler than the Surefires.

I've got one on my G17 and I like it. Not sure how it compares with my AR lights. They've got longer throw dishes in them so I guess it depends on what you want to use them for.

I know what you mean. My DPMS does just as good as my Larue PredatOBR 556.
