I recently got some Academy gift cards for my birthday and was looking online at their clearance section and came across the Onyx Outdoor Realtree Max-4 Flotation Jacket.

Does anyone have experience with this type of product? I kayak fish and hunt a good bit and would love to have something I could wear all the time during the colder months. Any thoughts? Would it be too bulky too fish with while wearing? And what about shouldering a shotgun?

I really don't know if it's the same jacket, but a good friend has an Onyx camo flotation jacket that he wears all the time. Was required to wear it when airboat driving for Shaw Group, but used it during winter bass tournaments as well. I'll ask him how the movement was and if he wore it whilst casting..

While not nade by them I don't rub a boat in the winter time without one. They are warm and will save your life. They tend to be a bit bulky and fishing would be tough in them.

My buddy loves his, but did say it wouldn't allow enough movement for fishing
