Trying to put a trip together Sunday. Anyone know what depth the snapper and/or AJ are at right now? Thinking about heading out of Fourchon.

Snapper are like salt water perch and are literally on every platform in the gulf. Finding the biggest ones is the hard part. Generally the closer the platform to shore the harder it is hit as it is easier to get to. As for amberjack i have found that 150' of water is a minimum and good place to start.
