No, but I have two of their free float rails and they are light and great quality.

In had one circa 2004 or 2005.

It was a nice piece, but heavy as hell.

Maybe try to find a KAC RAS and make a clone of the A4. Might be able to find a used one cheap.

Looked into KAC. MI is 0.2 oz heavier but the KAC is more expensive and harder to find. Just curious if the quality is comparable. I have an MI slim key mod on my Bushmaster, but didn't know if the 2 piece was equal in quality.

Think I may build an A2 style rifle from one of the stripped lowers I have stashed away. Can always count on a visit to the OB to cost me a few hundred bucks lol

Id say the quality would be comparable. KAC stuff is nice but the ras is nothing special.

I think the KAC RAS would be if and only if you wanted to make an accurate clone. If you want something that functions and isnt as beefy, Midwest Industries MLOK and Keymod rails are better than getting any quad rails.

I guess I'm going for a clone but it doesn't have to be authentic. Kinda set on the two piece so I think that rules out ML and KM

Honestly if I was going for a clone, it would force me to spend the extra money for the KAC. If you are having trouble finding one, I would have no issue trying to find it for you.

Legos for guys. Some years back it was said that the average owner spent over $1 on accessories for every $1 spent buying their AR15. I feel that number was a bit on the conservative side. You can spend serious money quick on AR15s.

Thanks, but I think I'm sticking with the MI. KAC isn't free float.

Shot the Anderson Grendel barrel today. Just used some cheap Wolf steel ammo to get it on paper and try to zero the scope. Green sheet was shooting supported trying to zero the scope at 100. POI was shiting quite a bit at first and I realized my scope was sliding in the rings from the recoil. Going to have to pull the scope and get it set correctly and loctite the screws. Didn't bring the right size allen wrench for the scope mount screws I didn't have a 6.5 Magazine so I was shooting 3 shot groups with a 556 mag. Groups circled in green.

Sort of got it adjusted and started shooting at steel and this splatter target at 100 unsupported. Still didn't have the zero 100% dialed in as I gave it up once I saw the scope was sliding in the rings. That's an 8" circle and with the exception of one in the white I was able to get them all in the 5" circle at 100. Next trip will be with Hornady 123gr SST which will be hunting ammo.

Anyone know any stores from Covington to Baton Rouge (Not Jims) that have a S&W M&P 10 in stock? Thinking about ordering online but may give a local shop some business if its available.
