Yeah I went in for TP and milk and said what the hell lets run by SG and the lady was stocking the shelf.
They had a bunch of .380 and 7.62x.39. A shelf full of pup .223 for $7.99 a box and about 10 bricks of the golden bullets for $21.97
$2.00 higher than academy but right now on GB someone is selling it for $80

The user manual for the 15-22 does not recommend it. However, that manual was published several years ago and I believe the manufacturers have made improvements to the "cheap" ammo with the growing popularity in semi-auto, tactical style .22's. I cannot personally vouch for the Golden Bullet but the Remington Yellow Jacket fires extremely well in mine. Others I know with the 15-22 say Golden Bullet shoots fine in it.
I have a 525rd box of Golden Bullet. Just haven't broken it open yet to test it in my 15-22.
