Yeah, I guess that's why I mentioned 4 brands other than Mathews. Too bad it doesn't fit your idiom.

You should be able to get a Mathews Switchback XT fully rigged off of EBAY in that price range. If you prefer new, check out the Mission line. If you go the EBAY route make sure you know your draw length. Some bows, including Mathews, are draw length specific and you have to replace the cam (around $50) to change the draw length.

cross bows are om ebay for 100. They are ok all the meth heads say. I need one too. Bass pro has good sales going to look today. My cross bow is for shooting looters, robbers, people I dislike. Cheap ones work fcine with red dot.

Look on the sportsman classifieds. I've seen a bunch of good used bows on it.

Oh if your a young man and can't handle 70 lbs with ease on the newer bows then you're a puss IMO.

If you want new, check out the PSE Stinger ready to shoot package. It's 400 bucks and you can spend the rest on arrows and and case. Im sure I'll catch some flak for having a small bow setup but I don't mind. It'll take a deer at 30 yards just like the rest and it's nice and maneuverable in the stand. If you outgrow it in a few years, you won't have invested too much and can get most of it back. I don't trust a used bow simply based on the chance it was ever dry fired (or dry loosed). Buddy had one snap apart on him due to this and that's a lot of force flying at ya.
