Eta: just started to look at it better and saw its a 10.

Come on man.

Should we be arguing it's a 10 rather than a 9 or the opposite?

It's a great deer, but it's rare a 9 point is 150, especially with the time length that deer has.

I agree. I'm sticking to low 140" to high 130". Maybe 139 7/8"

I just saw its a 10 as well. I'll give him that measurement and say 130 tops.

Yeah, even though he said even deer, I didn't see that little prick on my phone. Hey, I gave him an extra 5" for it!

I shot a 144" and a 135" both 10's and the OP's deer is right there with them. Actually he has more mass. Pictures can be deceiving. I know we can agree on that much.

Fair enough. Can't see much on those phones anyhow.

I'm usually pretty conservative and I'd guess

17 wide
42" of beams
30" of mass
8" of 1s
17" of 2s
16" of 3s
5" of 4s

That's a conservative 135" he could easily be 1-2" more on mass and 2" more on the beam length. If it really is 20" wide then it is a 140" gross deer

What you have there is a conservative 118. Spread doesn't count towards score.

If you aren't trolling then you should stay out of the deer score threads. Or are you using the ever popular Buckmasters scoring system

ARE THE TIP TO TIP AND GREATEST SPREAD MEASUREMENTS ADDED INTO THE FINAL SCORE?
No, they are not. They are supplemental data, required for entry, used by our office to confirm overall appearance of the trophy and positively identify each entry.

Correct, tip to tip and outside spread aren't used. Inside spread at the widest point is used.

I bet you think 10 and 12 points get more mass measurements than 8 points too

Thats what these threads are suppose to turn into, right. Everyone knows that.
No intent to brag really just throwing out a comparison from my view point. Maybe I should have stated that I have killed my fair share of 120" deer and that the OP's deer is much bigger.

Inside spread does.

I'm uploading that 10 point that looks similar and we scored it at 124.

I can't find the picture of the 128 from a couple years ago.

Well son of a bitch. I guess I won the a-hole of the day award.

Still 135 though!

124" 10 point.

Take into acct that I'm 230lbs and not small. OP looks like a skinny fella.

It's all good man. I'll say this 135" isn't far off enough to bitch one way or the other from a picture. Just know how to measure one before you cast stones.

Why let facts get in the way of a good argument? I don't need to know the rules, I've watched my fair share of Bill Jordan. That deer is 135 all day!

OP's deer dwarfs this 10 pt. No flame, just truth.

OP has longer G2's and beams, greater inside spread and mass. OP's deer has 15"s on this one all day.
