For my Avalanche, I drive like a bat out of hell and tailgate like a mofo. I've been looking at the Napa offerings. Ceramic or semi-metallic. Any suggestions?

They last really long, but there are better ones for stopping.

I have Hawk pads, and I had an immense time getting them to stop squealing. One side just started doing it again today

Next time, I'm gonna try EBC

Ceramic golds from autozone. I'm hell on my brakes and they hold up well enough for how cheap they are

I found EBC "yellow stuff" to be the best...but the trade off is brake dust on your wheels...if you can live with the extra cleaning, you'll be pleased

I switched to these for drag racing to stop my 8500# truck from 114 mph at the end of the 1/4

edit: still assuming a 2008 avalanche

EBC Green Stuff pads for everyday driving. Had em on my Tacoma along with EBC Slotted rotors. The pads come with a break in coating, kinda like sandpaper that helps to mesh the pad material correctly with the rotors.
