I am currently building a bench gun (my first). I want a quick and easy way to clean the bore while at extended periods at the range.

I don't mind running a shot of CLP and brass Boresnake through my pistols, ARs, etc. but want something that is kinder for this big money project.

I am not hung up on the "Boresnake" name, but I do want nylon brushes. Less chance of damaging the crown while being quick at the range and I do want a pull through system. I have a full blown cleaning system at home for after the day is over.

Thanks

ETA: the Boresnake string is obviously nylon. I want nylon bristles. The string being made of nylon is making Google searches difficult.

Something almost exactly like that. I was thinking that I may just buy a full set close to what you posted and swap out the brushes though. Thanks for the link.

I don't run anything down the bore of my gun other than a dry patch in between cleanings.

It's not a bench gun, but I do excpect it to be sub moa.

Only gets cleaned when it's dirty or the group's open up. Generally, I don't go more than 3-400 rounds between cleanings. In that time I'll wipe the bolt and look at the lugs, if they are dirty I'll clean that, but I won't clean the barrel.

I was hoping you'd chime in.

It will be a bench gun, but I don't know how to shoot lr, yet. That's the purpose of this gun, to learn.

I figured I would need to at least swab the barrel ever 50-100 rounds. If you think that I can go much higher, I may not need anything at all.

I'd love to find something almost identical to a Boresnake. Super quick to run and can only help.
