He was a lawyer who lost his license and was crashing on my couch. He needed money badly. He had no cash, showed up with all of $5 to his name. Good friend of mine but was imploding. I immediately bought a 2nd gen glock 23 for $200 on the spot. I never charged him rent either. Also bought a CZ 82 for $200, a russian SKS for $200, and a tricked out yugoslave SKS for $300. So for less than a grand, I got some decent firearms.
Hell,I sold his Palmetto state AR15 to a friend for $500, his Rem 870 for $300, an FN45 rifle for $800, and several other firearms to friends. Had a 9 mm sig that needed reblueing (sp?) for $350 a friend bought.
Didn't prey but I got good deals too for myself. I'd let him buy them all back but the glock 23. However, he spends every dime he gets. He won't be able to buy them back.
