Non boat access to Maurepas WMA

Anybody know the best way in without a boat? Any good Rabbit or squirrel hunting there?

I see people park on i10 and walk in, but I don't know if it is legal. If you walk you better have chest waders.

What type would you recommend? Bateau w/small-to-medium outboard? Go Devil/Gator Trax-type boats?
