New cheap revolver to play with, anyone shot one of these?

Chiappa 17hmr 10rd cylinder, I only gave $180 out the door for it from my guy. They have really good reviews. Just wanted it to carry when bow hunting, scouting, and basic every day bs. Thought it would be fun.

What kind of velocity are you losing going to a pistol length? the 17HMR is an all velocity cartridge with very little weight. Wonder how effective it will be out of a pistol? Now I want one

hadnt even took it home. It has a 6.5" barrel. I bet it will be loud as a son of a bitch though. I have a 22lr and 22mag revolver. Just wanted to have one of these to play with, especially for the price.Posted on 8/20/15 at 11:24 am to oleyeller
Down't go down to 6.5 but pretty interesting none the less.
Ruger makes a 9.5" barrel Single Six. I would love a long barreled revolver like that in 17 HMR.

hell for under $200 its a win/win. although i have tons of 22lr, some dont.. and 17hmr is much easier to find in stores than 22lr. Plus they make a 20grain that you could use if you chose.

There's going to be some gap between the cylinder and barrel there.
It HAS to be load as shite. My brother has a cheap 22 lr (I forgot the brand) and it's as loud as a 22 mag.

yeah gunbroker has them for $240 plus ffl fees. My guy i deal with got me one $180 out the door
cant beat that but yes.. it will be loud as a mofo
