That's because the fish in the OP has been in an ice chest for awhile. The second picture posted (before the fish had been frozen) looks like a pretty fish.

It's a small tube with with a couple of bb type balls in it. Some styles tie on the hook and some are made to stick into the worm itself.

Yeah you can tell in that first pic that fish has been in the ice chest ..color is gone eyes frosted , lips and tail red..

I live bout 30 mins from the lake this tihng was caught in. It's only 85 acres. Someone told me this morning he was catfishing with no luck, and thought he give the bass a try. Hope he was registered,and using a mustand hook. Was planning on heading elsewhere Saturday morning, but this might have me changing my plans.

Mustad has a contest running if you catch a state or world record using their hooks, and are registered online thru the website, you win cash. Its called Hook-a-Million, but I am not sure what a state record pays.

Turns out not to be a state record fish, was caught few hours before he had valid lisc.

The fish won't be certified as the state record. The moron bought his license three hours AFTER he caught the fish.
