Currently working on a mower implement - need tips on how to lift the implement up on its side so I can spend a considerable amount of time refurbish the bottom side. I am doing this alone and new to this stuff.

5 foot. Don't have a come along. All I have is a tractor with a FEL, a goof chain, and cinder blocks.

I can get whatever I need, I just want to know the standard/best way to do it without professional equipment.

Id probable use the loader to pick it up on its side and get it against a tree. Then chain it to the tree so it doesnt fall over and kill you.

Thanks. I've gone the chain to the loader route. I just wanted to make sure that was my best safest option. I don't want to damage the gear box

And once it's up, tie a safety strap/chain to it in case something happens to the loader. I'd also put a couple 4x4s holding it up. I've been to several fatalities where shite didn't go as planned and people wound up pinned under the equipment.

what Boston911said
dont ever trust equipment hydraulics if you have to get under them. Always safety strap and or block. Can never be too safe .
