Need siphon recs

This new hurricane in the gulf reminded me that I need a siphon. I only use non-ethanol in my boat and my generator so instead of buying 15 or so gallons of non-ethanol for the generator I figured I could siphon some out of the boat and use that if needed.
And I'm NOT going to use a piece of garden hose and suck it out
Thanks in advance

Works like a charm. The receiving vessel must be below the supply vessel

Just the regular one with the ball in the end that you shake to start pumping works great. It'll move 5 gallons of gas very fast. Cheap and available at any hardware store.

You already have one on board if your boat is out of the water.
1. Disconnect your gas line close to engine.
2. Pull plug out of the boat.
3. Feed your gas line out the plug hole.
4. Stick fuel line into gas can behind boat
5. Pump the bulb and get the gas flowing. It will siphon itself out into your gas can.
Just keep an eye and be sure to switch cans when it is full or it will overflow and keep draining.

Anyone use anything like these on their truck? Might be hand to keep around. Worried if it would get stuck trying to put down into the tank?

My hunting truck has an anti-siphon feature in the metal tube and it is almost impossible to run a siphon down.

quote:makes perfect sense. He’s got 30-40 gallons of non ethanol in his boat, why mess with 6-8 gas cans. Fill a couple cans, if you need more take it out the boat. If not, pour it in the boat and refill the boat and cans next time. Fresh gas is the best gas
This makes no sense

Rather than sucking, you can get a hose siphoning by using an air compressor. Youtube has videos.

Will need to go through the sending unit or bottom hose. Be careful with top screws on sending unit, if you break one it’s going to be earth shattering to fix.
