All three are diff. deer. #1 is 3.5 at most. Would shoot on my club but not on the private land I hunt

By looking at the jaw shelf it is clear the second deer is young, most likely 2.5. the First deer is a tricky deer, we have the worst view to age a deer but, the deep jaw shelf indicates that the deer is mature. I cant tell without a better angle how old. But if you can say for certian the seond deer is 2.5.

The deeper the face looks (Top of head by horns down the the jaw bone) the older the deer will be. This is clear difference in these pictures.

I concur that the first 3 pics are different deer. First one may be 3.5 , but could use another yr or two. The others look to be 2.5, let em walk for a couple more.

Las t pic you posted is more like it, definitely 4.5 or maybe more. THIS is what you need to shoot.

As far as in daylight, everyone is different. but when you really see a "Big Un", you don't need to second guess at all.

Good luck getting him.

Are these the same deer? How old do yall think this buck is? His left side is a little jacked up its looks like he has 4 on his left side and 5 on the right with with a broken point.

Maybe 4.5 I dont think he is any older cause his stomach and back look flat all the way from rear to front. Just doesnt look like his front is real deep like a older deer should

It really depends on where there they are, no mass = no age = no shoot if you want to manage trophies, but like I said it depends on where it is. In the big black river basin of Ms deer are just bigger bodied at younger ages so looks are deceiving. In any even good luck.

If I was managing I would let them all go if not shoot the first one.

Its our first year hunting here so its hard to know if we will be able to manage..we have 126 acres which is directly in the middle of about 800-900 acres of hardwood..thing is one side isnt hunted at all and we have only seen two guys hunting the other side once this season..our land hasnt been hunted in about 20 years either
