I'm tearing up some carpet for a friend in a older house . Under the carpet was some of the old asbestos tile or at least that's what it appears to be. . Once the tile is gone it leaves the black glue adhesive on the concrete . Does anybody know how to get this shite off ?

I tried some mineral spirits and it just smeared it everywhere . I know I'm gonna have to sand the slab but that may be the best option

Not sure of what it is called but there is something that is like a gel that will remove anything. Will try to find out tomorrow. Do not get it on skin...trust me on that. I slipped and butt was on ground 5 seconds...I was trying to shed clothes at 10. I'll find the name but be careful with it

I have a floor sander with some 16 grit pads . I worked on it for about 2 hours and have about a 3x3 area clean . I may have to get one of the stripper attachments for it
