Baws, my friend is making the stupid mistake of getting married. For his bachelor party the only thing he said he wants is to go offshore fishing. We have talked about renting a condo in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach so we can go to Florabama and book a fishing trip. What is the best time of year to go? Anybody have any guide recommendations?

He's getting hitched in April. I honestly don't have a clue about fishing prospects out there. We are all from South Louisiana so we could just rent a camp and stay closer if the fishing is better. I figured I'd ask you guys first.

I went on a bachelor party aboard the "Entertainer" in Pensacola. 3 night Deep dropping trip. We caught a load of different snapper, grouper, and other species I had never seen or heard of before.

Highly suggest checking out Pensacolafishingforum.com

That's a tough time of year to be offshore fishing, weather wise. However, I have been on a couple of bachelor party trips with Chris Garner on the High Cotton. Link Below

March and April are the absolute worst months because of the
weather. Not many days you can get out. I like Oct and Nov. the weather is usually pretty stable and the tourists are gone. Also, check when snapper season is open. That's when you want to go.

Great Southern fishing charters

He launches out of the flora-Bama marina.

I just was down there in October and chartered this guy for some inshore fun. He does offshore stuff too. Local younger guy that was pretty cool to fish with for the day.

Did pretty good by myself.
