The siding is tapered sawed oak.

Once it dries most of the way, I will seal it.

This is a kitchen Island that I built too that is for the guest house I am still building.

Oak is used throughout the house.

Your island has me thinking I could scale it up for kitchen cabinets. Really thinking.

The kitchen and bathroom cabinets will be built the same. Been having the lumber sawed up. Just need to cut, plane it all out. Got about 1kbf stacked.

The doors to each room and thru out are built the same too along with the wainscoting!

Like what? SIL can. A island like what I posted would be way over $500. Besides that, I haven't been up to par. I got to go back to New Orleans Monday morning. They wanted to keep me yesterday, but told them, not no, but hell no. Nothing ever gets done on weekends down there.

Put up a email address and I will pass on the info you need. SIL= Son in law. He is full insured and does great work. Works for himself. Started doing that a little over a month ago with many years experience.

For some reason, my email is not sending anything out.

SIL's Name is Mitchell Breau ,225-718-4696. Let me know when you have that so I can take it down. He is insured and a few of the guys here meet him. He takes a lot of pride in his work. Very fair and then some on his prices.

Framed in the concrete wall and bathroom.

Plumbing and electrical rough ins

Ceiling painted flat black and insulated.

Drywall hung

Walls painted, trim up, baseboards up, cabinets are in, most importantly the tv's are up.

Man cave, basement bar, whatever you want to call it. Space to drink and hang out.
