I have no good stories to start off this topic. I got a bass near Madisonville the other day on a matrix shad.
What ya got baws?

Manatee somewhere not in or around Louisiana. After seeing it, they deserve to be extinct

Between a 5 foot bull shark at the mouth of the Tchefuncte River and Jacks smashing cut bait in Lacombe.

Manatees just west of the mouth of the Tangi River

I've caught small mangroves in Lake P. Strangest thing I ever caught in the lake was a redfish with a remora attached to it.

Didn't catch it, but I saw a gator chomp a grab in the high bridge canal. One of my buddies caught a paddlefish on a trot line.

I've also seen multiple manatees in the Tchefuncte. One crept up on us perch fishing in like 2ft of crystal clear water. Scared the shite out of me.

Ah damn, I was trying not to say that. Don't want it to turn into one giant no wake zone

It already is That houseboat screwed up the best straightaway to wakeskate/wakeboard on the whole river.

Have seen a fair many paddle fish, unfortunately dead every time floating belly up, on the tickfaw. Also saw a manatee in 2002 near Mandeville harbor.

Manatees are stupid. They deserve to shite or get off the pot. That's like trying to protect some dumb arse bird that only lives at shooting ranges.

I caught a 40# black drum at Seabrook. Seen alligators, alligator gar, bull sharks.
Never caught or seen a tarpon, but want to.

It wasn't in Lake P, but I was fishing Vermillion Bay and there was a trashline between the gulf and the launch, and we saw some porpoises jumping around on the cleaner side and a huge bull shark came up and hit one of them. By far the coolest thing I've ever seen.

I didn't personally see it, but my uncle caught a 3 foot long sturgeon in a trawl net in Lake P years ago, I think in the '70s.

True that. I forgot about that .

Saw 5-7 feet gar making white cap like waves chasing mullet one day at mouth of tickfaw. There were 100's of them. Feet from the boat.

Either OP's definition of a fish is very broad, or some of ya'll need to learn what the frick a fish is.

Late 90's we were catching grey snapper on Irish Bayou.
Sturgeon occasionally get caught at south point where the train bridge hits the south shore.
Tarpon at the mouth of Iris Bayou and the dredge holes outside of the Sauvauge refuge.
