My first NICS delay UPDATE

Got my first delay ever today. I have a conceal carry permit and have bought over 15 guns in the last few years. I was picking up a cheap shotgun at Wal-Mart and got a delay.

Get the new CC and you don't even have to call anymore. Fill out the paperwork and walk out the door with your purchase

I called Walmart and they said "our system is saying to give them 2 more days". What the frick does that even mean?

Is this true? I have the new cc and while this was talked about maybe happening one day when I took the class I never heard that is was rolled out

If you have the 5yr issued after the end of May of 2015 you can skip the NICS check in La. I think it is a dealers choice, I have gone to both some don't some do the NICS check, I go to the ones that don't to purchase my guns.

In MS if you have a firearms permit (CCL) then you are not subject to NCIS checks. They don't even make you fill the paperwork out. Just show the license and your good to go as long as it's still valid.

Then they are in violation of federal law and can have their license revoked. A Form 4473 must be filled out on every gun purchase from a dealer. The NCIS check is a separate issue.

I heard that the fed servers were having issues today...prolly not wal-marts fault.
