I LOVE those places. Best bass trip of my life was on Silver Lakes.

It was wild to put your bateau in a ditch that turned into a creek that turned into a bayou that opened up to a beautiful lake .

Probably. The names that introduced me to those areas were basically Downs/Ryland/Miller

I miss fishing Nantachie, Iatt and chasing the ducks on Catahoula and the Delta. Roosting Wood ducks and Mallards in the Pits along the Mississippi . We have a ton of White tail and dove over here but no ducks .

I have almost no experience with those despite their proximity. Really a shame, but I have so many damn choices.

I've actually been to that Venice as well. The gondola ride was about as expensive as an offshore charter out of Venice time for time, lol. I wouldn't eat any of the fish from Vencie, Italy. It reminded me of the French Quarter on the water. nasty

I did fish in Capri. Very nice but not a dang fish to be had.

Alberta, Canada in a snow storm. Never seen that kind of snow fall and felt isolated from the every day hustle. I would love to be able to do it more often and get away from everything. I guess that why I love hunting so much.

Puerto Mont, Chile. Flyfishing for trout
Panama Canal, Peacock Bass
Cordoba, Argentina, doves
Winisk River, Canada. Brook Trout at the mouth of Hudson's Bay
Black Hills National Forest, Wyoming, Merriam's Turkey
Northern Saskatchewan, ducks in September
Marco Polo rig, Green Canyon Lousisiana, Blue Marlin
Montana, bowhunt elk

What I have noticed is that Big Game is expensive to travel to hunt. But, if you are willing to hunt small game or wingshooting, then you can travel and hunt/fish pretty reasonable.

Stalking a Bonefish in the Bahamas

I spent many summers catching fish all over Alaska. I don't know if it's exotic, but the Gallatin River in Montana was just wonderful this last summer. Also, fished the flats in Belize. No hunting for me.

Multiple spots in Belize back country.
Near the area known as Hells Bay in the Everglades.

I still think Venice rivals them all and is exotic to those that are not from Louisiana.

Probably trout fishing at 10,000 feet in the Rockies.

Side note, Roger, starting to plan an Alaska trip for 2017. I have many questions lol.

Really interested in some sort of guide or charter, mind giving me your email address?
