Middle Pearl river launch closed

Any you Baws know anything about the middle Pearl river launch being closed permanently? Someone told me that today. I did see a sign last weekend saying that the launch would be closed 7/6/21. But I assumed they were going to finally do some restoration/improvements. We launched there the week before last and the check station had been removed. I thought that was odd, but I figured they were going paperless now that you can check in/out on their app now.

We launched there two nights ago. Other trucks parked there as well. Sign said "Closed 7/6/21" so going to suppose that only means the one day until told otherwise

Whoa! Finally, maybe now the vagrants won't break in trucks anymore. Or now they will be able to do so in a well lit parking lot! Ha Ha.

Have to say I kinda liked the creepy launch in the dark at 4am.
